Meet Chef Skye Andrade

Born and raised on the island of Kaua'i, Chef Skye has spent years working in fine dining restaurants and traveling the world, learning from everything from street food to Michelin-star experiences.

Cooking started early, learning alongside her mother and preparing meals for her family as young as 12.

Today, she brings that same passion, skill, and curiosity into every private dining experience.

Ranch and Tide Hawai'i was born from a connection to the land, the sea and one another.

Our Story

What started as a simple dinner request quickly became something much bigger.

A longtime Kauai visitor once shared how difficult dining out had become, long waits, crowded restaurants, limited options, and the challenge of traveling back and forth for every meal.

Instead of recommending another restaurant, Chef Skye offered something different: a private dining experience in the comfort of their home.

After the first dinner, the client immediately booked two more experiences within weeks.

Their guests described the meals as some of the best food they had experienced, not just on Kauai, but anywhere.

That moment inspired the beginning of Ranch and Tide.

Chef Skye’s connection to food is deeply rooted in the island lifestyle she grew up with. Raised around ranch life, fresh ingredients, home-cooked meals, and a strong sense of community, she learned early on that great food is about more than taste, it’s about bringing people together.

Outside the kitchen, she spends time with her horses and animals, explores Kauai’s beaches and landscapes, and constantly seeks inspiration through travel and new culinary experiences. Whether discovering hidden local flavors or dining at world-renowned restaurants, she brings those inspirations back home and into every meal she creates.

Her approach to cooking blends artistry, hospitality, and a genuine love for feeding people well. Every plate is thoughtfully crafted not only to taste incredible, but to create a feeling, comfort, connection, celebration, and joy.
